The Iron Gym is one of the better known home pull-up bar models (you have probably seen it on TV!), and it is popular for its versatility, as it can be used in the doorway or on the floor.

The Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar fits doorways between 24”-32” wide and doorway trims up to 3 ½ inches thick.

You can do push-ups, dips, and sit-ups on the floor, as well as pull ups in narrow, neutral, and wide positions for a complete workout.

Reviewers on Amazon said that the Iron Gym was easy to assemble, effective, and even helped them save money by allowing them to do most of their workouts at home with this tool. It holds well, and when the instructions are followed with regards to doorway dimensions, there are no problems reported. It is important to keep in mind that for taller users, the grip that this model allows might not be wide enough. Others commented that while it is effective for most exercises, it isn’t the best tool for dips, as you cannot get very low.

In general, the Iron Gym is a decent option if you are looking for a pull-up bar with a bit of added functionality.

If you are looking for a straight doorway pull-up bar, we recommend the ProSource one instead.
